Yasmin James

Yasmin James is a reputable and experienced family law attorney who has been practicing over 13 years. Attorney Yasmin James handles all client matters from case inception through settlement. She represents clients in public court, the private judging venue, and mediation. Prior to opening her own firm in 2014, she worked for two small boutique family law firms in the Bay Area.

Attorney Yasmin James graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law and passed the bar in 2002. She is an active member of the legal community and was a board member of the Alameda County Bar Association and a member of the Inns of Court. Attorney Yasmin James was also Chair of the Barristers Section of the Alameda County Bar for two years and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for a Barrister from the Alameda County Bar Association for 2007. Yasmin James is currently on the Family Law Executive Committee of the Alameda County Bar.

As a mother herself, Yasmin James understands how difficult divorce can be for families, and provides thoughtful, compassionate and reasoned advice. She prides herself in her ability to help her clients navigate through the challenging and complicated family court system with consideration in mind.
